Honorary President
Kellie Garrett A message from Kellie Garret, honorary president of the Coalition
" I am pleased to offer my support for the Bonjour Saskatchewan initiative in the conviction that learning French is an undeniable advantage, a true gift. Research has shown that bilingualism increases intellectual potential, academic achievement and language skills, not to mention opening doors to other cultures. The wonderful fact is that all these benefits are within reach in Saskatchewan. The province's citizens can count on free, accessible, high-quality instruction in Francophone schools and immersion programs. They can also be exposed to, and immersed in, Francophone culture within the Fransaskois community.
I can personally attest to the many positive opportunities that a knowledge of French provides, which is why I am joining this promotional and awareness-raising campaign.
I encourage parents to give the gift of French to their children - a gift for their future! "
