As part of a cross country tour, Francoforce, a unique festival of French music and culture in Canada, is coming to Saskatoon. A one of a kind geodesic dome will vibrate to the rhythm of Francophone artists from every corner of Canada. The Bonjour Saskatchewan campaign and the Fransaskois community have partnered with Francoforce to give Saskatchewan residents an opportunity to participate in this special event.

PROGRAM
The amazing journey of the Canadian Francophonie!
Chants du pays – Artists from across the country and from the host community delve into the French-Canadian repertoire. A celebration of songs that speak to our identity.
La grande rencontre – An artistic adventure in which song, music, poetry, dance and multimedia come together to celebrate the vitality and diversity of French-Canadian creation.
Le cercle des créateurs – Taking into account Francoforce’s multidisciplinary nature, the Cercle des créateurs fosters interaction between the audience and artists, combining all the various disciplines. The artists (one per discipline) will be invited to illustrate the process by presenting works and/or excerpts from their works.
Le beuf magique – A performance improvised on site that combines the talents of the national Francoforce team and guest creators: a multidisciplinary jamming session that allows for exploration and interactivity between the artists and the audience.
Mots gourmands – A literary celebration. Writers from the host community are invited to share their works/excerpts from their works in a gourmet setting.
Le Francotarium – A high-energy talk show in which the vitality and spirit of the host community are featured.
1, 2, 3, Contes! – Francoforce presents the best of French-Canadian children’s literature. From Réjean Roy’s Giant of the Canadian North to Clementine of the Prairies, youth from 7 to 77 are invited to come discover the stories that inhabit the imaginations of French Canada’s writers.
Franco-ciné – A variety of French-Canadian productions from Pimp ma botte, through Acadieman’s Sucre alors, to Couleurs de mon accent will resonate in the Francodôme. The main creators of these productions will be invited to provide context and commentary at the screenings.
Workshops – A jig class that’s sure to get the crowd swinging, an adventure in creative writing, an improv session with the experts. Anything can happen with the Francoforce team.
Official opening – A moment officially announcing the Francodôme’s arrival, the opening ceremony is a reinvented ritual. A gathering imbued with the delight of meeting new and old friends.
Spectacle intime – A small-scale performance that puts the spotlight on an artist from the national team or from the host community.
Rira bien – End the evening laughing as the stage is given over to comedy. Rira bien presents the best of French-Canadian comedy.
